The only conclusion I can come on this subject is that it is different in every case. But the underlying cause that any of us do become friends, be it with a male or a female, is that there is something that attracts us to that individual (be it physical or not). The more we get to know each other, however, and if we realize that we fit each other superfluously well, that friendship eventually becomes something more. As for the rest, the more you get to know them, the more you discover that you like hanging out with them, talking to them, sharing thoughts and feelings with them, but you couuld never be romantically invovled with them and they become your close friends.
That, in my opinion, is how friendship world turns. But that's just my opinion. I'd like to hear yours...
